IS Operations Manager - Information Security Operations Manager - SOC manager - Security Operations Lead - Security Operations Manager
Monarch Recruitment are working with a large public sector body, who are looking to recruit x2 Information Security Operations Managers on a permanent basis - Paying up to £65,000 per annum (max budget) - Locations are dotted around the UK from North Manchester down to Gloucestershire, however no locations are near or based in London. You will be required to occasionally work on site, so you must be flexible.
Role 1: Security Operations - Working closely with their Managed Security Operations Centre.
Role 2: Testing, Exercising and Assurance
Although these roles are separate, they are looking for 2 individuals that can essentially work between both area's of the Security Function Team.
Duties:- Provide Support to head of Security Operations
- Engaging supplier, staff and business partners in accordance to the engagement plan
- Support CISO, SIRO and Executive leadership in developing and managing a positive relationship with the company and the UK regulators.
- Ensure the company is adequately projected - Monitoring health of information and IT systems - Taking prompt response to removing vulnerabilities and utilising security controls to prevent breaches
- Proactively hunt for threats against the business
- Recovery of affected systems and provide a plan to mitigate risk further
- Establish Incident response capabilities
- Plan and prepare for a conduct systematic security testing to ensure everything is compliant to ways and working and security controls.
- Ability to lead and manage small security teams
- Provide support for managing information security incidents
- Management security operations teams and undertaking of complex operational threat
- Manage intrusion and analysis teams
- Managing of teams conducting investigations using forensic techniques
You will be required to undertake SC Clearance if you are offered the position, so you will need to be eligible to go through this. Prior to SC clearance it's ideal if you already hold BPSS or basic disclosure for the time being. You also need to be registered with the Chartered Institute of Information Security or hold another similar certification.
