We are currently looking for a Desktop Support Engineer to join our client on a contract basis.
Role: Desktop Support Engineer
Duration: 6 Months initially
Location: London (this role will require you to be onsite 5 days a week)
IR35: Inside IR35
As the 2nd Line Support Engineer you will be providing 2nd line support, covering both desktop and desk side support via the clients TechBar.
Main Responsibilities:- Provide cover to the client by IT support contact number, answering calls, creating tickets, and escalating as required.
- Provide support to walk-up and email requests, dealing with tickets, and escalating as required.
- Administer various IT environment (i.e. PC build and configuration, Application software, SCCM, Printing)
- Liaise, coordinate and monitor the escalation to 3rd level support groups.
- Perform daily checks and support of the clients IT laptop and associated equipment stocks.
- Build laptop environment
- Log tickets and escalate to 3rd level resolver groups when issues and incidents are identified.
- Participate IT project.
- Support of Systems infrastructure team when requested - Core systems infrastructure comprises HP/Dell workstations including laptop, and HP/Cisco Blade Server technology running Windows OS, EMC SANs, and telephony systems and Cisco Networks
